Visiting an endodontist requires a great deal of trust and carries a responsibility for me to always act in the best interest my patient. My ultimate goal is to alleviate a person’s discomfort and help them save their natural dentition. 

I was drawn to dentistry because I enjoy meeting many different people, working with my hands, and being able to better people’s lives. Endodontics is more than overcoming technically-challenging medical issues: it’s about getting to know each patient and helping them.

I am lucky to work with two fantastic dental assistants, Colleen and Natasha. Colleen and I have worked together for many years. She is kind, compassionate, comforting and will help guide you through your appointment. Natasha has been with me since the practice opened. Her friendly demeanor and experience in the specialty field will ensure that all your needs are addressed. My team's warm, helpful and caring nature make our patients feel comfortable and respected.

Alex Brown, DDS, MSc, FRCD(C)

Education and Continuing Education

Dr. Brown has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Alberta. He completed his Residency in Endodontics at the University of Minnesota and holds a Master of Science degree, as well.

Although he has completed his formal training, Dr. Brown appreciates that the field is ever changing and he places great importance on staying at the forefront of the specialty.

Beyond the Practice

After growing up in Edmonton, Dr. Brown has called St. Albert home since 2004, with the exception of the two years spent in Minnesota for his residency. When not working, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his wife Tamara and their three children. He also likes fly-fishing, hockey, and playing guitar.
